We live in a mobile society where our tools need to be mobile also. Today, most laptop computer AC adapters are big, clunky and heavy. The high power adapters for workstation and gaming laptops are even worse, commonly referred to as bricks. Using GaN Systems’ power semiconductors in the adapter circuit design results in adapters that are lighter and up to 1/4TH the current size.
